Chap. Summary: Yoona and everyone's favorite straight girl get more company than expected.

“Is this desk lamp yours?” Sooyoung turned the purple mini-lamp over, checking the bottom for a name.Yoona shook her head, cramming several stuffed animals into a big plastic bag. “No. That’s hers.”
Sooyoung bent down to lug a huge tackle box from underneath Yuri’s desk. She curiously unlatched the top and whistled at the array of painting supplies. “I’m assuming this painting junk is hers, too.”
“Take the gouache out of there. I paid for it and it was freakin’ expensive.” Yoona stood straight up and pointed. “I bought that box, too. Empty the rest of that crap into the bag.”
With a grunt, Sooyoung noisily dumped its contents into the same bag as the stuffed animals. Yoona flung the lamp on top and steadily moved onto other items in Yuri’s side of the room.
Sooyoung fell backwards onto the bed, allowing her arms to fan out limply across the covers. “Are you going to call her?”
Yoona tightened her ponytail, avoiding eye contact. “I have nothing to say to Yuri.”
“Not Yuri--Jessica.”
Yoona sighed at the mention of her name; then, resumed to open the closet to snatch non-Yoona-esque shirts from hangers. “Why should I?”
Because I comforted that grouchy, lovesick drunk. “She must have been fawning over you for months.”
“Ya think? I was there.”
Prickly Yoona. She has reason to be, though. “I get that. C'mon--she was single when she slept with her. You were engaged at the time.”
Yoona examined a multicolored scarf, eyes getting hazy. Yuri made that for Yoona on their first Christmas together. After another few seconds, she tossed it over her shoulder to join the rest of the shunned clothing.
“I’m not saying that you have to forgive her immediately.”
“Why is this such a big deal for you?”
You’re always there for me. Supported me through every failed relationship and strange encounter. Including the aftermath of that confusing Hyo experiment. I owe you so much for being the shoulder I cried on when my parents rejected my non-Korean boyfriend. “Because I know that feeling,” you told me. Even though your parents took your sexuality well, you had to deal with the unaccepting Kwons. Always the rock--my Im Yoona. Let me help you now.
Sooyoung sat up and scoured the emptying room for anything that exuded Yuri-ness.
“You know what? I don’t know. But I do. I feel like that Seohyun thing was a fluke.”
“Don’t say that name in this house.”
“I forgot. Geez.” She retrieved a stuffed panda bear from the bag and squished its simple face. At least Yoona has the courtesy to give her stuff back. I’d probably go apeshit and burn anything that reminded me of a cheater.
“Her blatantly fake manners and bitchy attitude during the dinner were maddening. My jaws ached from all the forced smiling. I can’t believe Yuri went for a bitch.” Yoona turned around. “Am I a bitch?”
“Only when we’re playing games.”
“That’s not bitchy. It’s staying true to the rules.”
“Call it what you want.” Sooyoung coughed out a chuckle when she pulled at the last drawer of their dresser. “Ooh. I think I found your sex toy stash.”
“Oh god.” Yoona sprinted over and kicked it shut. “I’m keeping those.”
“All of them?”
“I’m newly single. I have needs.”
“Speaking of needs...” She ignored her friend's eyes rolling at her playful grin, “you never told me what you and Jessica did last night.”
“We slept.”
“Together?”
“Yes. But, not in the way you’re suggesting.”
The taller girl clutched the panda and dramatically squeezed it to her bosom. “Did she hold you in her arms throughout night, whispering that she’ll make all things right in the world?”
Yoona’s glimmer of a smile didn’t escape her watchful eye. “Not exactly.”
“Any physical contact?”
“Jessica was the outer spoon.”
She squealed and hugged the panda tighter. I may have to steal this one. It’s super cute. “You two spooned!? How intimate!”
“Yes. Whatever.”
“Ugh,” Sooyoung bounced the bear in lap, legs crossed. “you lesbians are so lucky. Whenever my boyfriend spoons me, he gets an insta-boner.”
“Gross.”
“Oh, please. Don’t get high and mighty. I’m sure you enjoyed those boobies squished onto your back. Girl boner alert!”
Yoona openly smiled as she chucked a flip-flop at her head. Sooyoung squawked at the intrusion, returning the favor by pelting the woman with a less-cute bear from the bag. It’s about time I see that wide, Joker smile today.
They giddily threw more items at each other until Yoona collapsed onto the bed, rolling in laughter. Sooyoung’s lanky body hit the space next to her, thoroughly proud of lightening the atmosphere. She studied Yoona’s face, noticing it turn pensive as she stroked the pillow at her side. A lop-sided grin remained on her face, but her mind was somewhere else. This is the best time to bring it up. “Yoona?”
“Mm?”
“I know you had sex with her.”
Yoona’s eyes stayed on the ceiling, fingers still running over the pillow.
Sooyoung continued. “You, uh...smelled like sex when you got into my car. You don’t have to lie to me, okay?”
The hand stopped, balling into a fist. “I didn’t lie to you. We didn’t have sex last night. It happened this morning. Should I feel bad?”
“Pfft. No. Have you forgotten my laundry list of college clown rebounds?”
“Never. I ran into one of them a couple weeks ago.”
“I hope you did it with your car.”
“He wasn’t worth it.”
“Soooo..” Sooyoung nudged her in the side. “How’d your first not-Yuri romp in the sheets go?”
Yoona pursed her lips, obviously pinching out a smile. “Way hotter than I imagined. She offered, but I did most of the work. It was fun having a pillow queen for once.”
“Spoken like my favorite homosexual.”
A pillow instantly knocked her in the cheek. She clawed at its corner to hurl back when the doorbell sounded.
“I’m not getting that.” Yoona immediately got to her feet, back on the course of packing Yuri’s unwanted possessions.
“You think she forgot her keys?”
“What else is new?”
Sooyoung swung her long legs off the bed, bounding to the front door. Can’t lie; all this drama’s so entertaining. Sure, she hurt for Yoona, but watching events unfold before her eyes fulfilled the amusement quota of her week. The panda plushie sat comfortably cradled on her hip as she swung the door open.
“S-Sooyoung?” Jessica stuttered, lifting huge sunglasses from her startled face.
“Jessica! Hi.” Sooyoung nodded at other girl whose red-rimmed eyes were on the panda. I recognize her from the club on Thursday. The one Hyo drooled all over. I wonder what had her crying. “What a pleasant surprise!”
Jessica and her curious friend shared a confused glance. “Do you live here?”
“Nope. Just a frequent visitor. I should have my own key, really.”
A smirk. “Is that the boyfriend you were talking about?”
Sooyoung hugged the bear closer to her side. “We all need someone to hold us sometimes. But, no. My man’s flesh and blood. And human.” She stepped aside, guiding them into the living room. “Don’t mind the mess. We’re doing some packing.”
“Is she moving out?” The dark-haired friend asked, lifting a rolled-up poster to peep inside.
“The opposite.” Sooyoung shifted the poster box around to reveal “Yuri’s shit” haphazardly scrawled onto its side in black Sharpie.
The friend made herself comfortable going through the prints as Jessica slid her wet umbrella into the ceramic holder next to the door. I wonder if she noticed me calling her by her name. Jessica quietly lowered herself onto the edge of the couch, watching the girl comfortably digging through the cardboard box.
“Tiffany, this stuff isn’t for sale,” Jessica deadpanned, her gaze there but somewhere else at the same time.
“I bet she’d give it to me if I asked. I’m familiar with these kinds of break-ups. Everything’s up for grabs.” She stacked three posters onto the hardwood floor and kept searching.
Jessica lipped “I’m sorry” to Sooyoung as she shook her head. The taller woman grinned and shrugged, tossing her newly-gained stuffed animal onto a loveseat. “I assume you’re here to see Yoona.”
The blonde’s eyes lit up. “If she’s not too busy.”
“YOONAAAA!!!” Sooyoung hollered, gaining a yelp from both girls. “You have guests!”
After a full minute of silence, Yoona appeared. If she was surprised to see them, Sooyoung certainly couldn’t tell from her facial expression.
She crossed her arms, plucking at a stray thread on her oversized hoodie. “Jessica. You’re here. How’d you get my address?”
Jessica got to her feet once she spoke. “Office directory...you look cute.”
Sooyoung covered her mouth, holding in the chuckle for the up-front compliment.
Yoona unconsciously fiddled with her freshly-washed hair, tucking strands behind an ear. “No I don’t. I’m miserable. How often do you see me in a hoodie and shorts?”
“Didn’t I say that you look great in everything?”
Some color went to Yoona’s face, but she frowned to overcompensate. “I told you not to follow me.”
“I didn’t come to argue.” Jessica reached into her oversized purse, slowly pulling out--
A GUN. Wait no, that’s way too dramatic. And dangerous. Watching these dramas will be the death of me.
Jessica held out a perfectly folded brown paper bag. “We never got to eat our croissants. So, I brought them to you.”
Oh my god. So sweet. I’m rooting for you!
Yoona’s eyes fluttered, mouth agape. “Um. I don’t know what to say.”
“Wait until you eat them! They’re mad yummy!” Tiffany squealed, adding another print to her grab stack.
Jessica rolled her eyes. “Nobody asked you, food thief.”
A pout. “I was just sayin’!”
“Weren’t you mad like five minutes ago?”
“Shopping cheers me up!”
“You’re not shopping, Tiffany!” Jessica whirled her head back to face Yoona. Her tone immediately softened. “I’d really appreciate it if you took these. I bought them with you in mind.”
The random exchange had both Sooyoung and Yoona cheesing ear-to-ear like crazy people. Actually, the crazy ones would be Tiffany and Jessica. They go from hot to cold in milliseconds.
“Okay, I’ll take them.” Yoona snatched the bag playfully, garnering a sigh of relief from her lanky best friend. “I’m still mad at you, though.”
The blonde’s Cheshire grin didn’t express any worries. “You’re not as mad. I can work with that.”
Yoona knit her eyebrows teasingly. “Don’t get too cocky, Jessica Jung.”
“I really want to kiss you right now.”
Tiffany and Sooyoung’s eyes met from their respective places. Awkward.
“Should we leave?” Tiffany evidently didn’t feel like watching anyone make out and Sooyoung begged to agree. Please, think of the friends.
“Sure, leave. Make my day.” Tone riddled in sarcasm, Jessica tossed the car keys her way.
“Jessica, we’re not the only ones here,” Yoona answered, unconvincingly as far as Sooyoung was concerned.
“So, let’s take it to your room.”
Yoona grabbed her hand and they disappeared into the bedroom in a fit of giggles.
Then, silence in the living room.
Well, that escalated quickly.
Sooyoung stood up and patted imaginary dust from her capris. Looks like my work here is done. Good job, Team Young.
+Success. I’m such a perfect matchmaker. Sooyoung typed to her boyfriend, glancing over at Tiffany continuing her unauthorized rummage.
+A plaque from the lesbian community should be in your mail any day now. he replied, followed by a thumbs up emoticon.
What a sarcastic ass. I love him. She checked the time on her phone. “Tiffany, have you eaten lunch yet?”
“Only half a croissant,” the girl chimed, beaming up at her with a huge toothy grin. Ahhh, Jessica was right. She’s in a much better mood.
“I don’t know you, but I’m hungry. Let’s go grab--”
“-looked like four hundred years old!” a growing voice bellowed.
I know that voice.
“Hyo, it’s mean to say that about her mom,” a softer, more agitated voice muttered, closer to the door.
Crap.
Posters scattered as Tiffany leaped from the floor to go knocking on Yoona’s door. “Girls,” She jiggled the handle. “unlock the door. We have company.”
Sooyoung’s eyebrows rose. It’s like she’s done this before! In two strides, she got to the front door to jerk it open. The people on the porch looked mortified, apparently expecting Yoona to answer.
There stood Hyoyeon, palms on her hips with a crazy long ponytail cascading from the top of her head like some yellow volcano. Her stress hairstyle. Next to her, Yuri had her fingers halfway stuffed into the manliest jacket ever, presumably searching for house keys.
“Hello, sir,” Sooyoung teased, eyeing the dark canvas material.
“Oh. This? It’s...” Yuri pulled a hand from her pocket to tug at a long sleeve, “a crazy story.”
“It stopped raining.” She blinked past the duo, thankful to see sun rays peeking through thick clouds.
“Yeah...”
“Yet you’re still wearing...”
Hyoyeon had no time for the stalling chat. “You heard the girl. Crazy story. Now, move!” She bulldozed through both of them, stopping short take in all the boxes. “Yuri, I think ex-Im’s already made up her mind on sleeping arrangements.”
“Great. Now what?” Yuri muttered, rolling one of the sleeves as she walked in.
The volcano blonde held her hand out to the messy scene. “You, my friend, have been kicked the hell out.”
Yuri snagged a rolled print and threw it across the room in frustration.
“Hey!” Tiffany snapped, emerging from the room, “That’s mine!”
“Yours?!” Yuri’s angry face dissolved into confusion. “You’re Taeyeon’s girlfriend.”
“I’m Tiffany.”
“Hot Tiffany,” Hyoyeon corrected.
“Hyoyeon?”
It’s getting dramatic again. Maybe a gun will show up this time.
The tanned girl shook her head. “Where’s Yoona?”
“Right here.” Yoona leaned against the doorway, expression blank.
Hyoyeon nodded at the unexpected company. “What’s Hot Tiffany doing here?”
“What are you doing here?”
“The same thing Sooyoung’s doing for you,” Yuri defended, “helping her friend.”
Tiffany bent down to collect her posters. “I’m here with Jess.”
“Jess? As in Jessica Jessica?!” Hyoyeon’s ponytail danced upon her head as she frantically peered around the room. “Where’s Jessica?!”
The golden-haired woman peeped from Yoona’s shoulder. “Here!”
Hyoyeon’s eyes bulged and mouth gaped open at a comical pace. “You?! You’re THE Jessica?!”
Jessica stepped fully from behind Yoona, folding her arms. “What’s it to you?” This is better than the TV dramas.
“You don’t remember me?”
“Nope.”
“From the bar?”
“Not ringing any bells.”
“You’re that cold bitch who was talking to...Sooyoung.” Hyoyeon fully turned to face her.
Uh oh.
“You told me that you didn’t know Jessica!”
Sooyoung's shoulders shot up in an exaggerated shrug. “I didn’t know she was Jessica at the time!”
Hyoyeon whirled back into her previous stance. “Stay away from my friends. And my...Sunny.”
Yeesh, Sunny. The teary-eyed, adorable mess that showed up at my front step last night. They didn’t exchange many words at first. Sunny simply held up a box of hair dye and whimpered, “I normally do this with someone else, but I hate her guts right now. Will you turn me purple?” How could I say no to such a proposition?
After listening to a detailed recap of the date, living with Tiffany and Taeyeon, and her benefits-like relationship with Hyoyeon, Sooyoung started steering her away from Jessica and more towards Hyoyeon. Of course her club-hopping buddy drove her crazy, but at the same time, she hoped that it’d happen organically since she got the ball rolling. She refused any kind of alcohol that night so Sunny could head over to Seohyun’s house to make amends with the clearest head possible. I wonder how that went.
Jessica’s scoff plucked Sooyoung from her reverie. “Your Sunny? I don’t recall her mentioning you.”
“She didn’t have to do anything. Stay away from my Sunny.”
“And...my Yoona.” Yuri mumbled, pupils taking in their closeness.
The brunette rolled her eyes. “I’m not your Yoona anymore. You’ve made that very clear.”
“How do you know Jessica?”
“We work together.”
“And you didn’t tell me?!”
“...why the hell would I tell you that?”
Yuri sputtered, fingers dipping into her messy hair. “I s-see how it is!”
“How is it? Let’s hear it.”
She pointed. “You’ve been cheating on me this whole time. I should have known!”
Yoona snorted. “Um, no.”
“That’s so weak.” Tiffany laughed to herself in the sidelines.
“You’ve never mentioned Jessica’s name!”
Yoona sighed and stepped forward. “Yuri!” she barked in the sharpest of authoritarian tones.
Everyone’s eyes shot to Yuri, who obediently replied, “Yes, Yoona?”
“Name me three--no, two. No....one. Name one other co-worker of mine.”
The awkwardness hung thick in the air as Yuri stumbled over her words, attempting to extract any generic name from her memory. “M-Min uh, Kim Soo...um...Ji.....Hyun?”
“Min Uh Kim Soo Um Ji Hyun? No, I don’t work with that creature of a person.”
Even Hyoyeon burst out laughing with Tiffany, Jessica, and Sooyoung as Yuri and Yoona glared at each other.
“Okay, okay. I get it.” Yuri conceded, her red face dipping down.
This drama is so fab.
A rude thud to the shoulder halted Sooyoung’s cackle-filled merriment. Yuri pushed by, heading for the bedroom. Somebody’s extra aggressive in their manly man coat.
“Get dressed, girl. There are plans afoot.” Hyoyeon announced, fist-bumping Yuri’s arm as she passed.
Sooyoung matched Yoona’s numb gaze. This is going to be a long ass day.

Immense spazzing over: “Stay away from my friends. And my...Sunny.” Who knew Hyoyeon could be so cute? I'm totally shipping HyoSun now...I'll just add it to the infinite list of other ships i have.
Yuri and Yoona's confrontation was a lot calmer than i expected, Yoona must have some damn good self control not to gauge Yuri's pretty eyes out....or maybe i'm just too violent.
I agree Sooyoungie, this drama is indeed FABULOUS, just like you my dear <3
Well I must return to the kingdom for they are throwing a grand feast for me slaying the dragon. I'm gonna score me some hot wenches.

TBH I almost forgot that Sooyoung and Yoona were besties. D: Thus far her character hasn't left a very strong impression in my mind because she quite removed from all the ladydrama and is relegated to the the listener or supportive best friend. Her calm and sober perspective is punctuates this crazy story really well. :)
(Eh, I'm getting a kick out of abusing words starting with "s" when speaking about Sooyoung hehe.)
As an observer, she is quite different from Hyoyeon in the sense that she seems to perceive rather than judge. Her mental dialogue tends to be more descriptive and reflective as opposed to commentatorial and sarcastic.Even her "witty" remarks lack the edge that some of the other characters' do. (LOL at the gun remarks though, whut whut whut have you been smoking, Sooyoung-ah?)
Bottom line: I get the impression that she is so sincere, and has such a big heart that pulling off the kind of sassy and sarcastic remarks like the other characters can is quite beyond her.
Also, why do I get the feeling that there is more to her boyfriend than meets the eye? I get this uneasy feeling when I read the parts where she texts him. (And yes, I agree with her boyfriend, girl really deserves a plaque that says "Lesbian Relationship Guru").
And! And! And! Her scene with Sunny is so bleedin' cute! :)
Sooyoung's so good and perf~ (Though I think her personal voice could be a wee bit stronger, but that's just me. Hehe.)
2. Soo and Yoo:
This deserves a separate section because I've never given much thought to this dynamic before. In my mind Sooyoung has always been associated with Yuri, so it's interesting seeing her relationship with Yoon being explored. I love how Sooyoung is so tactful in her attempts to get Yoona to process the whirlwind blow up, breakup, hook-up fiasco. She gets straight to the point, but somehow still remains tactful while doing so. *cuddles*
Sooyoung seems to approve of Yoonsic, so I like her by default~
3. Yoona:
Yoona's pretty much all SRS and BZNS in this story, huh? She's such a self-possessed young woman. (She gets Yulpup to heel so quickly OMGAH). She's sexually confident and she tops--so different from my head-canon Yoona is vastly different, but so fascinating.
And AWWW...bb totes has SUCH a soft spot for Jessica! <3 <3 <3 <3
4. Jessica: AWWW... (Dammit, I'm starting to get attached to this ship, NOOOOOOOO!).
5. Tiffany: She and Taeyeon are a match made in heaven. Idiot weirdos. Both of them.
6. Hyoyeon: Sassy, hilariouus, awesome. Never change even as you navigate unfamiliar waters of relationship, feels~, and perhaps even *gasp* commitment?!
7. Yuri: Every time I think that she couldn't possibly be more fail, she proves me wrong. I'm even starting to feel really bad for her LOL. She got kicked out! What is she gonna do? Is she gonna be able to continue her studies without Yoongbb's funding? D: I worry for the the goofy puppy...

She had my sleep deprived self cracking up on many occasions during this chappie and I just have many warm-hearted emotions running through me rn. Sooyoung rooting for Yoonsic, Sooyoung finding the drama super entertaining, Sooyoung adding to the drama via inner monologue ("Jessica reached into her oversized purse, slowly pulling out-- A GUN. Wait no, that’s way too dramatic."), Sooyoung being super-duper and turning Sunny purple (;^;), Sooyoung claiming all my feels by being such a flawless individual. :') Um, I think it's safe to say I rly enjoyed this chapter. Haha.
But not only for the Sooyoung appreciation but EVERYTHING ELSE AS WELL AHHH. Yulsic meeting, Hyosic actually meeting (which I've been anticipating for years omg), Tiffany being BFF Tiffany and making me :D (seeing her without Taeyeon was a nice change, but in the back of my head I kept thinking that Taeyeon's probably sitting at home with snake!Sica and moping over being beaten up and left alone heh heh heh. Unless WAIT. You have something planned and shits actually going down somewhere... >:|||). All is well.
But I also feel hope blooming in my chest at the prospect of happy!Yoonsic, because Yoona somewhat forgave Jessica for the Seobb sex (YAAAY!) and Yuri's pathetic stay away from my Yoona was really the only indication from either of them that there is hope for YoonYul to get back together, but I do realise it's still very recent and I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE PLANNED so I'm gonna reel in my Yoonsic feels for the time being and sit contently with my homegirl Sooyoung.
How will this "long day" pan out for the girls? What are the recuperations for Seohyun last chapter? What's purple-Sunny up to atm? And most importantly when will Mrs. Seo next appear? These are all questions running through my mind rn.

Sooyoung reminds me of Austen's Emma the teeniest bit-- playing matchmaker but being in a way out of the running herself because she claims to be straight as the stick she is.
Her inside thoughts are way more thoughtful and genuine. you know she too needs to be counted out of the stupid race cos she's not.
